Keep in mind that in our fifth meeting of the term, we will still be stuck on Class number 3. Hopefully we will catch up at some point. Also, there will be a pop quiz very soon. Remember, we have a midterm and a final, but pop quizzes make up a good chunk of your grade. The quizzes are a way to find out whether people are coming to class or not.
I'm not offering make up quizzes, but if we get close to the end of the term and there are students who have missed enough quizzes to significantly affect your grade, then you will have the opportunity to do an extra credit project of my choosing.
Also, regarding performance attendance;you are required to attend 5 performances during the term. On the 20th class, you will hand in 5 sheets of paper with some kind of documentation of the performances you attended. However, there are 2 upcoming shows, each of which will count as 2 performances toward the 5 that you are required to attend. One is:
January 28th at Ivories Jazz Club George Colligan Quartet 1435 NW Flanders St 8:30-12
and
this one:
February 3rd at the Brasserie Monmartre George Colligan Trio 626 Southwest Park Avene 8-12
